Celebrated the life of my bubbly, pink heart-loving friend Jurene recently.. Her big smile, laugh, talking with her hands, bouncing all over the place…I miss all those things. But most of all I miss her caring and supportive texts, and random old pictures she would send. I’ll never forget her texts when I told her I was going to get married. She was over the moon for me, with paragraphs of how proud of me she was and how I deserve so much. One of her messages said “Let me know when you can make time for me.” I wish I made that time in these recent months. BUT, this is a happy post, just like she was a happy energetic person, enjoying the memories and laughing as I can hear her laugh in my head ☺️🥰 Until I see her again..Button -

At any given time in the last six years I held 3-5 different jobs at the same time. And for two of those years also was a full time student. When the kids were younger they’d have to come here with me and sleep on cots while I baked. As they got old enough to stay home, I would sleep on a cot in the office for a couple hours and then wake up and start again. When I went to school, the instructors knew that I was coming straight from work, and I’d listen to the lesson and then put my head down to sleep for 15 minutes before starting my work. And if you know me, yes I’m gonna brag that I graduated with a 4.0 GPA 😂 (My really smart friends tease me that my classes were easy but life definitely wasn’t so 😝) It’s been awhile but there were definitely times I’d feel sorry for myself and just sit here and cry. But most times I’m extremely proud of my work ethic. Nobody works harder than a mom who has to provide for her kids 💪🏽 To all you single moms out there: I see you 😘🥰🥰 I may not be single anymore but I know how real the struggle is.Button -

WHO ARE YOU? I used to answer that question with “I am a mom…or a realtor…or a baker.” But the question, originally posed by my therapist (yes I have one; everyone should) was asking who I am without relating it to any title I have. Over the years I’ve figured it out… I am confident. I asked my therapist if she thought that I am a person who pretends to be confident but am just masking insecurities with a facade of confidence. She said absolutely not; I truly am a confident person. I am confident in my abilities, in the people that I trust, my family, my job, and most importantly I am confident in myself. I know who I am and what I bring to the table in different situations. I am confident that I am a good person. There are some things that you cannot control in life, sometimes the outcome is good, sometimes bad, but you push through and don’t give up. She cannot always control how her horse is feeling or wants to perform, sometimes she catches, sometimes she doesn’t, but she will enter the next rodeo and try again.
